Engineered Hardwood Installation
Engineered hardwood for living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms across San Diego County. A genuine wood surface over a core that stays put. Over 15 years installing it, and we bring the boards to you, free.
Why engineered
Wood that stays where you put it.
Engineered for slab homes
A real wood wear layer over a cross-laminated core. It moves far less with San Diego's damp mornings and dry afternoons than a solid board does, which is what makes it the right floor to lay over a concrete slab.
Over 15 years installing it
Hardwood is the least forgiving floor we lay — the subfloor, the moisture reading and the expansion gap all have to be right before the first board goes down. We have been getting that right for over fifteen years.
A surface nothing imitates
This is wood, not a picture of it. The grain runs through the wear layer, every board is different, and it warms a room in a way no printed plank does.
How it works
Hardwood is the one floor we won't rush. Here's exactly where the time goes.
Measure & select
We measure the room, check the subfloor and take a moisture reading, and bring boards so you see the grain and tone in your own light. The visit is free and there's no obligation to book.
Acclimate, 3–7 days
The boards sit in the room they're going into for three to seven days so they reach the same moisture as your home. This is the step that keeps the floor from cupping or gapping six months later, and it is not one we skip.
Install, 1–2 days
Then we lay it, board by board, with the expansion gap the manufacturer specifies. One to two days depending on square footage, and we walk the finished floor with you at the end.
